Day 28- It's Official

We turned in our 30 day notice to the leasing office.  We have until May 31st to be out of our apartment.  Bridget spent sometime today packing up the apartment.  Boxes are stacking up, but it feels like there's still a ton to go.  This is the not so fun part of buying a house!

Laundry Room coming together.  We bought the peel 'n' stick tiles to lay tomorrow.

If it's not one thing it's another.  Kept making a weird noise periodically.  We bought a new flapper seal.

And then it leaked.  There was a leak coming from around the bolts from the tank to the toilet.  So we bought a new kit with new bolts and seal.  By the end of this Andrew's going to be a toilet expert!

Doug's car was fixed, but he still spent most of the day at the house.  He touched up the walls and ceilings where needed and did a 2nd coat of trim to the baseboards and windows.  He will be back one last time to touch up the trim and clean up.  I think he's excited to be done with our house.  The steps are killing him!

Day 27- Almost Done Painting

Doug's car broke down so he spent the day painting our house, since we were within walking distance of home.  All he has left to do is a 2nd coat to all the trim.

Doug was running out of the paint he bought so he painted the hallway and used the rest of the paint we bought on the front entryway.

We had some entertainment this evening.  Phil came out and was eating the dandelions Andrew's Weed 'n' Feed didn't kill.

Phil thought they were quite tasty and was cleaning the backyard for us.

 As long as he keeps weeding the backyard we may keep him.  The lady next door doesn't need to know Phil's our landscaper :-)

Day 26- Short Day

We decided not to set an alarm this morning.  We had a lazy morning at the apartment then spent the afternoon at the house.  We left before dinner and actually ate at home.  

We decided to start painting the Laundry Room.  We only weren't sure about the color so we decided to let it dry and see how we felt.

Day 25- Beautiful Day Outside

It was a very productive day at the house.  Doug brought a friend to help with the painting.  He and Shawn were able to get the Living Room, Steps and Front Hallway done and they got 1 coat on the back Bedroom and 2 coats on the Power Puff Room.  Doug figures they should be done with everything by Wednesday!  Andrew's parents had so much fun the other afternoon they decided to spend a day helping us.

After talking to the neighbor and Bridget discovering she had a rash on her hands.  The bushes in the back were removed as well since Bridget's allergic.
